    Joining a club!

I wanted to post on the other thread but it's been closed.

I can't afford to join a club yet but I plan to as soon as I can.

    Why?

    1.) Better facilities.
2.) Cleaner facilities, (no poo sprayed minging toilets)
    3.) Decent customer service.
    4.) Better opportunities for networking.
5.) Better class of people IMO.

Now I know I'm going to get flamed for number 4 and I don't care. Wealthy and successful people are generally better educated and I would prefer my kids to mix with educated, successful people most of the time. I would also prefer that the better manners, ambitions and social skills of educated playmates rub off on them.

Just off to put on the flame proof coat......

Fair enough, thats the whole point of a club in my opinion. To hang around with like minded people and get away from the hoi polloi (how's that for flammable material)

Another thing, when the lease is up on our current place we plan to move into a villa so that we can have a walled garden and off street parking...

Do you have friends at the clubs? Usually you can go with a friend, book events, parties using a friends account. This is what I have done. Then you can try it out and see if you like it.

Erm the old thread was a waste space dominated by angry petulant children :-)

I understand some clubs are snooty and others excellent family friendly social non profit organisations.

That reminds me! Last October when I was in Taipei. Walking down a main road near the city centre, I passed a school ( of club if you may call it) for UFO studies! Pity I forgot to take a pic of the place ( the husband and I were too busy arguing about where to go, until I told him where to go.).

    Sigh. Next time.
