Shenzen Shopping

Ok, looks like I want to go to Shenzen! I'll be hunting for curtain/roman blinds makers as well as modern furniture and contemporary area rugs (wool or wool/cotton blend). If you have any good contacts for these items in Shenzen, would you mind sharing?

Tex, our curtain guy was located next to the BBC Restaurant on the 3/F and has recently moved to the 4/F. A friend is going to Shenzen on Friday so will ask her to write his store # down. I have not seen rugs in the shopping mall nor furntiure. You'll need to go out to the furniture area and I can't remeber the name of the street its on. Anyone?

Also I noticed that everyone seems to be buying Golf Clubs. So if you're a golfer you might want to check them out.

Also the Painter on the 4/F is amazing. He's in shop 4056A.

You might like to check out the YWCA. They run a one-day shop with a very experienced shopper - also mentioned in the book. If you get a multiple entry visa, you can go the first time with the Y and get oriented to go back another day.

oh, and to answer my previous question, in case anyone wants to know, they do do roller blinds in fairly high-tech materials in shenzen.
