or the Covent garden - a few times had to use it because there were just too many people waiting for the lift!

Ah yes. Not nice turning up at the Opera House all sweaty, because it was winter and you'd just walked up wearing a winter coat, scarf...

I was back in the UK for a short trip when there was the fire at King's Cross, so it's good to see this...

The lift-only entrances have extra fire and smoke-protection devices, including fire curtains and refuge lobbies. There are also dual-feed power lines and fire-resistant cables.

And there will be flashing signs to back announcements if people need to leave the station in an emergency or seek fireproof refuge facilities.

On RTHK today. Opening day/time confirmed.

A train link between Sheung Wan and Kennedy Town will go into operation on December 28.

MTR's Operations Director, Jacob Kam, said the first train will depart from the Kennedy Town Station at 6am that day.

But trains will not be stopping at the Sai Ying Pun Station along the line because of a construction delay.

the line is finally open, now Kennedy Town is packed with people. I fear this area is going to turn into a big mall very soon and won't be as quiet as before.
