Does anybody know the opening schedule of West Island Line? We plan to go to HK next March for 1-2 months and wondering should we rent an apartment near Sai Ying Pun or Western District.

This route map is very useful for my future planning. Thanks to all.Original Post Deleted
But note that the map itself might be misleading, for example the location of Central South has yet to be confirmed and therefore is excluded from the construction for the time being while the SIL-W may be decades away; same for the North Island Line and the Northern Link. They are all planned, but plans may change or not happen at all.
So far only the KTL extension, WIL (extension of ISL), South Island Line East (SIL-E) and SCL are confirmed, beside the XRL or course.
Is June 2014 still on track for opening the new stations?
I searched both google and here but can't seem to find something recent.
Also, will all stations open at the same time or will it be staggered with Sai Ying Pun / HKU first?
Thanks!

Looks like, and given the onerous penalties for failure to meet deadlines in these contracts, it is not surprising.
Don't be so sure the line will certainly open on time. Penalties or not, if the contractors run into unexpected engineering problems, it can delay the opening of the project.
There is for example media stories that the construction of the high speed line from West Kowloon to Shenzhen is running into difficulties and may have to be delayed. So far, we haven't heard of any similar negative news coming from the West Island Line, but that doesn't mean there will be no delays...
probably fall of 2014
