Where can one buy a few fire crackers for Diwali? Nothing very elaborate, just a few sparklers and Anars? Does HK have any rules on firecrackers? Want to do something small for my daughter and her friends
Thanks

Try Chungking. Have a feeling even the smaller, harmless stuff might be banned, due to them being classified as fireworks.
You might try along the border, where the police do not take action unless someone complains. If you want to stay on the straight and narrow, go across the border.
Police have warned they will not tolerate any illegal firework displays to celebrate traditional Chinese festivals after officers discovered $61,150 worth of explosives in an abandoned wooden hut in Tsat Sing Kong Tsuen yesterday.
Police searched the hut off Kam Tin Road in Pat Heung at about 4.30am after receiving a complaint that illegal immigrants could be hiding inside.
No one was arrested.
Acting Pat Heung divisional commander, Chief Inspector Lau Yun-keung, said the 362kg haul contained 731 coconut-shaped fireworks of various sizes inside 20 boxes.
"We believe they were smuggled into Hong Kong from the mainland," he said. "It is possible that the fireworks are intended for illegal sale to celebrate traditional Chinese festivals such as the Lunar New Year."
The fireworks were taken to the Pat Heung police station, then sent to the Civil Engineering Department to be destroyed in quarries.
The maximum penalty for using, possessing, selling or making illegals fireworks is a $25,000 fine and six months' imprisonment.
