Today was pretty much perfect hiking weather for me. Let's just hope there's a minimal amount of rain.

It was fine actually, only had rain in the last hour or so....of course it is gonna be nasty for the slower teams as the reservoir in section ten will be a mud land.

Indeed. The rain started just as MrMin's team got to the middle of the reservoir but some of our other meetup teams were still at CP4 and CP5 at that point - just awful for them.

How did you do? MrMin's team (with him as team "manager" and chief pacer ... jobs not to be underestimated given the issues facing the team, which shall not be aired on a public forum!!!!) did 17hr 16mins. Which should have been awesome, save for the above mentioned "issues"!

MrMin has just got back from doing 9 and 10 again with a slower team ... and collapsed into bed. I'm now off out again to help with support for our slower teams.

It was a brilliant race as always. The salomon.teams were awesome and our team finished at 4…the main aim always. Timing was a tad slower than wished but just behind ur team it seems by a couple of minutes
