Camping on new years?

Hi all - it's our first chinese new year here, and from the sound of it, it's a pretty quiet holiday. We were thinking about going to shanghai, but traveling will be a nightmare and it sounds like everything closes anyway, sooooooooooo, plan B is to go camping. Can anyone recommend a lovely spot, hopefully something that we can hike into? I am assuming public transportation will still be running...

Officially you can't wild camp in Hong Kong. But there are a number of campsites in nice locations throughout the Country Parks, most of which have basic facilities like toilets, water, etc.
