    SCMP a takeover target?

    Shares were halted earlier today pending this announcement. SCMP is in talks with a third party concerning an acquisition.

    It reads that the SCMP Group Limited is doing the acquiring.

    The Group is currently in negotiation with third parties regarding possible acquisition of a group of media companies in Hong Kong...

    True, the good ones left SCMP long ago and their new monkey in chief is a Mainlander.
    Real English HK journalism can only be found online nowadays and afaik Apple Daily is the only critical Chinese newspaper in HK left without self-censorship ... how ironic though that it's yellow press.
