Well I think overall, Caucasians in HK generally are in a much higher income bracket then people from "Ethiopia and Sri Lanka"

Of course not, but I guess a substantial majority do, so what's wrong with ImmD going after some low-hanging fruit?

To put it into perspective, if all racism in the world were to change tomorrow to the level experienced in HK, I'd think we'd be pretty happy with ourselves.

Of course, then the goal posts would be moved and we would be complaining that we aren't all living in a pink fluffy my-little-pony fairy land.

    Somehow this is believable

hey i experience racism here and there cuz im american and the old chinese people hate me for being gweilo.... anoying, so I learned cantonese to tell the rest of the fuckers where to shove it if they want to get lippy or just be rude.

Worst part is waiting on a taxi and the drivers ignore you cuz they cant speak english.... very nice when you are in a hurry.

But the majority i get is cuz the people here in HK just speak crap english or not at all, considering its a national language it kind of throws us off a bit when they can barely say anything.

If every country had 95% of its citizens from the same race, and every level of governing authority from the same race.. You probably would see less racial tension.

But unlike Hong Kong, much of the world isn't nearly as segregated.

The demographics of Hong Kong: 95% ethnic Chinese, 3% Filipino/Indonedian (helper related), .7 white, .3 Indian

The demographics of New York City: 44% white, 25% Latino, 25% Black, 13 % Asian (yes more than 100 due to mixed races I guess).

Hong Kong doesn't have to deal with race related issues. One race rules the roost... Can you imagine if Hong Kong had 25 % Filipinos living here and 25 % Indian??? There would be major issues!!!

It's true go to the N.T. areas you will see. The schools can't even speak English well. They have to send out for a person to communicate..

I see if you are in Kowloon or other urban areas the people are a bit more educated and can speak a bit better/clearer.
