Speaking of steps, there are many beautiful steps.

Some look at steps and see horrible, tiring exercise.
Some look at steps and see a naughty step and it brings back bad memories.

No different that other objects or phenomena already discussed on this thread.

And lastly, to drive the point home, Do you see this as beautiful or should we not appreciate it because it represents something bad and ugly

Just for the record, the swastika appears in Greek antiquity as well as Celtic art and many other ancient cultures......not only Hinduism and Buddhism...

Sorry I didn't realise...but considering the discussion was about nazi uniform and in you throw swastikas in bali... I had to object, no choice...
But anway, let's move back to the typhoon season.

(somehow hitler manages to make an appereance anywhere...he has amazing reach) (shakes head)

The point I'm making is that the bad feeling that exists towards some images exist only certain heads/cultures...they are social constructs. You can get in trouble for showing a swastika in many countries where the device is widely used in Hong Kong, for example, I know of several kindergartens who use it in their crests...
