    Shoot - it looks like a category 4 storm right on top of North Luzon right now. Those guys are ill-prepared for nasty typhoons. Reckon that'll kill a few.

    A few hundred i would imagine. Even weak typhoons kill about 30 persons in the philippines. Mostly from landslides and floods.

    HKO is saying T1 will go up this afternoon sometime, but we'll have to see how it spins off land to assess the impact on HK.

    What's the chance of a T8 I wonder? At present course, the forecast tracks are showing Utor most likely heading for the Leizhou peninsula in Eastern Guangdong, above Hainan.
