Precisely. If past pattern is any guide, you may have to work as usual. T8 will be down by daybreak. Or maybe not this time. We shall see.

Assuming of course the T8 is hoisted for sufficiently long duration during the day for you to take the day off, and not the usual T8-while-everyone-is-asleep-then-back-to-work-in-the-morning-routine....

I guess many of you are thinking, "where's the weather?"....

We're under a huge gap in the outer rain-bands...really makes you think about the force-field doesn't it?

We should be getting hammered right now...

Hey! How dare you insult Li Ka Shing's benevolent protection of HK! . He is working hard to ensure HK remains a productive place so that lazy bastards can't get an excuse to skip work!

On a more serious note though, I think the sparse rainbands might have more to do with the dry air over the mainland, robbing the storm of moisture in that quadrant...

When people do not need to go to work due to the bad weather, should those who can work from home continue to work?

The Hong Kong Observatory announces that the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal Number 8 is expected to be issued at or before 1:40 a.m. tomorrow (14 Aug 2013). Winds locally will strengthen further.

Ron Swanson does not take kindly to interruptions to his hunting and eating pork knuckle wrapped in bacon rashes ritual. Government institutions are destroying the curtain of society.
