I think the big danger is stuff blowing off buildings- I've seen all sorts of scaffolding, sign boards, plant pots etc smashed on the pavement after a typhoon. You don't really wanting to be walking around outside too much til the winds gone down.
Looks like T8 will be up for a while.Local winds are expected to weaken gradually this afternoon. The Observatory will consider issuing the Strong Wind Signal, No. 3 around 2 p.m.
Enough T8s and the T10 last year thanks very much. Certainly enough to form an opinion on the matter. Oh and where did I say I didn't like it ? Go back to England ? Not a chance. I was there a month ago and it's still doom and gloom though the property market's picking up at long last.
HKO says 2pm will go back to T3.
