Anyway back on the real thread diversion topic. The NT rocks. OK, I'm only on the peripheries here in Clearwater Bay but that's good enough for me. A pleasure to leave Hang Hau behind and once we hit Silverstrand roundabout high rise is a thing of the past. The only thing I really wanted from this whimper of a T8 was something strong enough to whip down the trees which slightly obscure my bay view. Didn't happen in any previous one or the T10 so I guess I might have to resort to some sawing action in the middle of the night.
It's pretty much 50 minutes door to door for me each way and I also exit at an MTR that isn't blessed with a walkway from there to work. I enjoy the rain though and unless it is hammering it down I'm partly sheltered on my 10 min walk from MTR to work. Only once got to work as a drowned rat.
I can wake up, sit on the balcony with a cup of builders tea (trained the maid very well), and watch dawn break, listening to the birds singing without the noise and the smell, unless the wind is blowing in the wrong direction. It's actually a much more relaxed approach to the start of my working day than it would ever have been back in the UK.
