Hi
we are thinking to joing the HKCC but we have no idea if it is any good or not.
Had a look at their website and the facilities look great as all the other clubs tho!!
Anyone out there to give us an advise? Is it child friendly club?
Thanks a lot

We're members and love it. It's great for kids, especially if they are young. Very social, lots of things happening and the grass is a BIG bonus. Your company will probably have to have a debenture there to get you in any time soon unless you can enter using a sporting membership, which means you or your partner will have to commit to playing a sport. I think the waiting list is 2 years otherwise.
thanks a lot AUSSIEGAL!
yep my husband's company offered us either the HKCC or the HKFC membeship....
Can I ask you one more thing pls....we were wondering how difficult it is to get there? Having a look to the map it seems we can only go there by cab...
Cheers
HKFC is generally a lot easier to get to by public transport in that it is in Happy Valley. But HKCC can be got to by bus and if you live on the south side of the island then it would be more convenient than HKFC.
I'm not a member of either but I do visit them. My impression is that HKFC has a somewhat broader range of facilities, but both of them are excellent for families.
In terms of location the contrast is quite substantial.
Essentially there isn't much around the HKCC , there's a gasoline station near by, a tennis court and a walking trail but if you want to go out of the club and go do some shopping or eating it's not going to happen without a vehicle or bus transportation.
That's one of the things I like about the cricket club. When I go there I want to kick back, relax and escape the hussle and bussle. Being in Happy Valley, would to me defeat the purpose but it's such a subjective decision that you need to get out and see both clubs.
The cricket club is actually right next to a tennis club so there are many tennis courts near by; the walking trail is one of the best walking trails in HK. As for eating, the cricket club does great food really cheaply in house. I took my kids there a lot recently when my husband was overseas and we had no helper for a few weeks.
Public transport is fine around there but driving there is of course the best option and there is plenty of parking.
