where to find old codgers playin cards in a quiet spot?

You find these old codgers everywhere... temple street park, shanghai street sitting area and most old housing estates.

There is a park near Kornhill plaza by Taikoo. Its east ward before Kornhill plaza (Near the california fitness)I've seen them play there.

Sun Chui Estate in Tai Wai. There's a old small semi-open mall, outside there's a large concrete park, there's normally a few groups of oldies playing cards and chess there. Mind you, I approached them once out of curiosity, and they were less than polite....
