    Was it me or was the light really surreal everywhere earlier too? Never seen HK like that before. This year seems to be full of new / unseasonal weather (good and bad).

    Yeah! From my view, I could see the light reflecting off the sea, making the sea pinkish. And then after the sun went down, the light continued to evolve. Looking forward to today's sunset.

    Sometimes, unusually sunset may be associated with volcanic eruption or approaching storms. The Mt. Pinatubo eruption in 1991 created spectacular sunsets over Hong Kong. Likewise, typhoons in the region can cause similar effects.

    I'd love to see a volcano erupt sometime in my life.... (ok, ok, let the funny comments ensue...). Unfortunately the one that was going off in Russia was just a bit too isolated to hop over and visit.
