Question equivalent of Radio Shack and Home Depot

I am having trouble finding an electronics store like Radio Shack and a hardware store like Home Depot (obviously I don't expect the same scale). Anyone have any advice? I have been advised to look on Lockhart Road but all I find are bathroom fitting stores.

    Cheers!

what exaclyt are you looking for? just outside mongkok mtr exit E there's a slew of hi-fi shops with the associated wires, accessories etc a la radio shack. seems to me like the streets of hong kong are like the aisles of home depot, circuit city, radio shack, etc. each street or section of a street has a specialty. maybe you should try asking where you can find specific items.

apliu street near sham shui po MTR has loads of
odds and ends for the electronic hobbyest.

it also has loads of cool 2nd hand gear, probably untested though.

i wanted to buy this old school 80s brick cell phone but
its condition wasn`t great and it was a little pricey at 200 HK$.

    I am looking for

    1) a cable TV splicer for one
    2) little cord clips to nail cords against the wall
    3) wood paneling

pretty eclectic I know. I have asked some people and have not received a good response yet. I have no trouble finding a Lane Crawford or a Bvlgari store but the little specific stuff is hard to find.

    Cheers!

Cable spliers -- should find a great collection at itsys or other shops in the computer centers, that sell cabling solutions.
