    Yes but it's not rational buying but panic buying. When you see housewives buying up all the noodles, toilet rolls, meat and water you would think that the 3 minute warning has sounded.

    That's bad news. A pass to the East would mean a softening of the blow by the terrain...

    The news is saying HKO will raise T3 later tonight. The expected wind tonight does not mean the T3 criteria (that may occur later in the early morning). So this is more likely a precautionary measure to get people prepared.
