I was in my local ParknShop 30 mins ago and although it was quieter than usual, all the locals who were in there were buying baskets full of tinned food and pot noodles. They seem to be expecting armageddon. Meanwhile, tourists continue to mill around outside looking slighly confused.

True but only in the serviced apartment one more week- shipping should arrive in a few weeks (crosses fingers and now starts worrying about the boat...)

    Welp...that was fast.
Are you sure? The HKO radar site still shows the eye out at sea, if only just so.

Now my biggest problem.....roast beef or lamb today? Also which wine goes better with roast? Merlot, shiraz or get an old cab out?
    Merlot, ugh!

Beef - aged Cab Sauv. Or Rioja red from about 2004-2007. Even a 2010 vintage would be good.
Lamb - go the Shiraz , not too tannic as it will make the lamb taste bitter, or a good juicy Pinot noir. Even a Barolo or Malbec could do the job.

Better still, forgo the meat and feast on the wine. You'll soon forget there's even a T8 raging outside.

Brace yourselves for the T8, expected by 7 pm. Nothing on TV tonight so need some action to watch. Plus a delish Torbreck 2011 old vines gsm....

Nicely wet and windy here in Clearwater Bay. Not heavy with the rain yet and not even remotely like a blustery UK Autumn day yet but not far off I suppose.
