Hong Kong is such a small target and it's easy to forget that actual people live in the path of USAGI. They will not be describing it as all fart and no shit, I'm sure.

    To give you an analogy:

Let's say you lived in Brighton and a typhoon was coming, at the last minute it veers off and slams into Bournemouth instead. Many are killed in landslips, flooding and so on...Probably wouldn't be using words like, 'miss' or phrases like 'all fart and no shit'.

Just for reference: 2 million people.

    Enough said I think.

Some people will never understand. If you tell them typhoons aren't always so "damage-free" then they you call you a drama queen. Ignorance is bliss for them.

Nowt over here, just some boring drizzle. What a waste strapping my balcony furniture down.

Ditto for CWB. Not much happening here except some light rain.

I don't envy you, a friend from Caperidge came over for shelter as she didn't want to be on her own.

Just back from my day at Trafalgar Scrabbling. Light rain falling, slightly (but only slightly) windy. Most Wanchai bars open as normal with the F1 and football. Most seats taken, but they could hardly be described as busy.

Local Wellcome open as normal, but no bread, a few empty sections in the fresh fruit & veg area, but still plenty of stuff there.

I cannot access it either. Site might be down due to traffic. They used to have what's called "typhoon mode" (or something like that) where if T8 is up, they restrict forum access only to members. But even if that is still the policy, the website should at least be accessible.

Oops, did I reveal myself as a member there? I don't really post there often because of the weirdos there, but they do provide some useful info every now and then.

I'm in Mid Levels on 25th floor of a fairly exposed building. The wind is rapidly getting louder, though not like last year's T10 as yet. My cat has been staring out the dark window!
