You believe that 'your view' is of greater value than that of the most respected meteorological observatories in the world, HKO? You're a troll or a fool. Let us know when you've decided which. Thanks, and have a nice day. :-)
Listen to yourself, you sound like a little child. HKO is the best in the world? Whatever? Is your daddy going to come beat up my daddy too.

And for you to call anyone a troll is laughable.

INXS's motto....Hong Kong is so great....I spend all my time on Geo....lol

Wow, a forum disagreement over a Typhoon. Kind of an anti-climatic start of the day after.

Can't we just be happy everyone here is safe and begrudgingly going to work as normal? And thanking Shri for sticking the Usagi thread. It's very useful, even if the big one didn't hit. Please do it again for next season. Crowd sourced info, ground level is very useful. Two thumbs up.

Happy to see everyone is okay so we can argue another day. :-)

Now, hmmm, is it possible to make a casserole out of our extra Usagi fall-out shelter SPAM and instant noodles?

Because you forgot the little fact that the typhoon didn't strike us. This is the usual "I know better than the HKO" attitude. This might be news to you, but Guangdong is really just over the border. We just missed the bullet. Hong Kong got off lucky.

And no, you are incorrect. The news reported 6 people were hospitalized due to the typhoon.

Don't waste time with TB. Geoexpat's resident troll. Like I said, some people will never learn. They think typhoons are nothing because a big one hasn't strike them. It reminds me of a few folks I knew in Seattle, a known earthquake zone, yet few strong earthquakes have hit the city, so they dismiss the earthquake danger. No amount of reasoning will persuade these people. Only a "big one" will shock these people out of their complacency.

Luckily for us the tin shed on the rood didn't blow away but, half of the small main gate in front of our house came off the hinges...
Still, we were all lucky it didn't do much harm in HK.

Just think about it like that:
INXS, the brit, watercooler and closedcasket disagree on anything and everything and argue for the sake of arguing, this kind of behaviour apparently assists their digestive system...
One of their favourite past times is to accuse each other of trolling...
