I'd like to vote, but I'd need the option:
'OP possesses poor interviewing and communication skills and needs to improve them' as an option

If you've ever registered as unemployed in the UK, you'd know exactly how difficult it can be to claim benefits. Nowhere near as simple as your copy and paste implies.
I take it you're also either not British and/or haven't spent any serious time in the UK and are basing your insights on the Daily Mail.

So much misinformation in this post that I can't even begin refuting it.

Actually, apart from the last part about difficult to make a claim, the general population of UK do think it's an easy system. You can refute it, but that's just how the general populace think.

Good of you to speak on behalf of the entirety of the British population Proplus. Given your pronouncements about wetmarkets here I think the reader is well advised to take your comments with a handful of salt.

Ha ha I'm most likely considerably more British than you. Lived there most of my life. My family tree has been traced back to the 17th century (I think my mother lost interest at that point lol).

As for my last statement about it being difficult to make a claim, that's based on my own experience when I lost my job and had to claim benefits (luckily it only took me 2 weeks to find a job but I didn't know that at the time). If you're a normal person who has worked most of your life and just needs some financial support at a difficult time (which you're entitled to after years of paying tax and NI), you're treated incredibly badly. Or certainly in my area you are. However, it seems to be much easier if you're a professional benefits claimant as the system is set up to look after you and your 18 kids.
