Looks like this thread is going totally into the wrong direction - sorry about all the UK "problems" - can you please open a new post/thread for yourself..........this really has nothing to do with the FDH thread here !

Yes but who cares what the standard process is. Britain is broken because of those seeking aslyum.

this has nothing to do with asylum! if like inxs you are a brit and marry a foreigner this is the process. my point was simply that people go on about how easy it is until they try and do it themselves as inxs found out

People go on about how easy it is for people claiming asylum compared to British people trying to settle with their non-EU spouses....this in spite of Surinder Singh. As I pointed out, even if you take the standard route you suggest, you are at a disadvantage as a 'standard' British person....there are many NGOs specifically set up to help people of certain extractions and you can't access those services. I'm sure it wasn't deliberate but the system now discriminates against white British people. It's not just Britain....we saw the same thing in Denmark.....lefty madness....trying so hard not to discriminate that they actually discriminate against white Europeans. What a funny world we live in!!

You're wondering (out loud) why there is more access for assistance for someone claiming asylum compared to the claim for residence from the wife of a British national?

Yes. As a taxpayer I should expect that there would be a minimum of service like, somebody answering the freaking phone, the law, (Surinder Singh), being obeyed under EU law......not waiting a whole year without even one word from immigration while my wife is not allowed to leave Britain, even for a holiday or she'll have to return to HK to await the outcome of our application that Britain cannot legally deny....even though we are married with two children.....so yes, I did fucking wonder out loud and I do fucking think it's outrageous that people who've contributed zero get better treatment than British nationals.......until you've been through it as I have, you can't imagine how shitty and nasty it is....
