And I'll just wait for the "typhoons-are-nothing" folks to show up here soon enough to dismiss this storm.

I don't either, but I do often wonder each time if the Big Buddha would offer protection from the storm if it really hit hard. I mean, that thing is HUGE and looks pretty strong, hardly anything would blow it off its pedestal. I was thinking it would make a great typhoon shelter for the south Lantau masses.
