I live in Tuen Mun and I know several places here.
If it's any use to you, Tsing Hoi Circuit near Rainbow Garden end has a wood supply place.....they'll rough cut the sizes you need...

When I have been on the red minibus to Mongkok I have passed many of those little shops that look like they sell wood. Reclamation St and Shanghai St area of Prince Edward through to Mkk.

If your in Central, at the end of Wellington St. there is a couple of hardware shops selling wood and the guys are only to happy to cut it to size for you.
