Just to add, 100,000 isnt much and yes China could have given more, yes China sucks big time, arguing on this forum isnt going to CHANGE the communist parties mind. We are better off promoting other charities to save the people that are in real need.
In in ideal world, charity should be done without expecting anything in return. In practice, many governments donations come with restrictions, strings attached etc...Plenty of individuals also give gifts expecting things in return.
China could and probably should give more and I agree that it's deplorable that they haven't done so. It's also in very poor taste use disasters to score political points and to hope for retaliation or other disasters to happen.
They also sent this to Iraq, Afghanistan and was thinking of sending this to Syria as well. So what is your point?
It's like turning up at someone's Chinese funeral. Close friends will arrive in a Benz and give thousands in "White Gold". Others not so close may travel by bus and give perhaps over a few dollars. Would you then be comparing who gave what, and wish that person who paid the least amount and all their family members dead or would you simply say thanks for turning up even though you are not a close friend or relative?
How much should they have given? To the dollar please.China could and probably should give more and I agree that it's deplorable that they haven't done so.What is the value of the humanitarian aid?
Is this a random nugget from the stream or is there a specific point? It's also in very poor taste use disasters to score political points
Yeah!and to hope for retaliation or other disasters to happen.![]()
