    Would it not be better to enroll your kids in a local school where Cantonese is the predominant lingo? Also, I've known mixed married couples with kids involve their children in Cantonese speaking play groups. Children's minds are sponges and some will pick up languages whereas others will pick up sills. It all boils down to the individual inate talent of the child.

    yeh prob will do that - so it doesnt hurt if someone in the house is speaking to them in a native tonge -also i dont want live in.. so if it jus a thousand a month or so diff after food trans accom then why not get some one who can chit chat to them in chinese whilst helpin look after them..

    You can try Burmese helpers. I just read that they are starting to hire them in HK. And they speak english and mandarin (sorry not canto).
