    Talking Stainy

    Hey there,
    Check out TopTipsForGirls.com
It's got a LOAD of simple and effective remedies for all sorts of home problems like this.

    From the website... can try:
    - to pour tonic water on the stain
    - using white wine. apparantly this does the trick.
    - whitening toothpaste on a red wine stained table top.

    - Try using lemon juice on wall stains. Try washing the wall with fairy liquid. Or head over to B&Q and see if they have a cleaning product that will remove it. if that fails you may need to call a cleaner in to assess the extent of the stain.

    - Hydrogen peroxide, the kind you buy at the drugstore for cuts, will remove red wine, blood, chocolate, and any other organic stain from fabric in no time--just pour it on and let it sit. I dump red wine on my white couch all the time, so I really know! It won't bleach the fabric unless the fabric was dyed with some kind of organic dye--so unless you made it yourself with beet juice or it is some hyper-organic item, you have nothing to worry about.

White wine over red wine works on fabrics, not sure about walls, though.

    Cream cleaner

A little bit of cif, or any other brand white cream cleaner (like you would use to clean the bath) on a dry sponge usually gets most marks off walls... good luck!

A lot of walls I've seen here aren't painted with proper interior paint. Instead they just use primer (the paint seems chalky rather than plastic). If this is the case, you might need to get a small can and touch up.

Certainly true. A lot of these places seems to have been built the cheapest way humanly possible.
