What is the address for the owner on the tenancy agreement? And is the tenancy agreement legalised/stamped?
I have a good friend who is going through the same thing. It's a long long story, but @ OP, do you have the landlord's HKID? The tenancy contract? What info can you use to locate your landlord? And next of kin? If no agent, withhold rent until landlord surfaces. But, in order to avoid being sued for non payment of rent, keep records of all attempts to contact next of kin, trustees and family. All the same, if in doubt, contact a good property lawyer.

Address is same as the rented place, it is stamped.
I have only HKID but not sure how to locate.. I have no information on his kin or wife...
Any good property lawyer you can suggest?
What's the problem? If he normally collects the rent and hasn't...so what? Just put each month's rent in an envelope and pay it to him when you see him.
I swear some people on geo would contact a lawyer if they realised they were wearing odd socks :P
