Are you sure these neighbors were born in Hong Kong (not that it really matters)?
I'm not sure, one of the men speaks as though he has been in England at some point. They are not Chinese by the way, they are Indian.

Yes, that's exactly what we are going to do, so... Anyone got any ideas as to where to move? We were thinking possibly Yuen Long because it's cheaper to rent there, but a friend of ours said it was like the 'Wild West' . I would appreciate any info. My hubby needs to be able to get to Cheung Sha Wan or Kowloon Tong for work, so anywhere that is about a 30-40 min commute to Kowloon would be ideal we are in Sha Tin at the moment, but a change is as good as a rest (We were thinking at one point of Sai Kung, but it's just not doable for us unfortunately) Thanks in advance peeps :0)

Lohas Park, you get a lot of flat for your money, it's dog friendly and you have management to deal with neighbour problems.

It is obvious now that they are doing this on purpose. They have started to come into the stairwell making as much noise as possible and mimicking barking noises to aggravate my dog, although I am managing to train her not to bark at that certain noise. They then go onto their balcony and whistle down to her so I have had to lock the balcony doors.
Invest on powerful home cinema amplifer and 7.2 speakers ( with two large subwoofers) , compete with them, watch a movie and listen music with unparalleled clarity and volume, when there is a explosion scene, make your village house feel like a seismic level 6 earth quake

yuen long can be noisy, hustle and bustle of a town that specialist in midnight suppers and late night food, best not too close to town, a lot of cars and people even at 1am

sheung shui or fanling is quieter and cheaper than yuen long, 30mins to kowlong tong and 45 to cheung sha wan, it's quiet after 8pm

Use google translate if you don't read Chinese.

    definitely something to consider.
waste of money to sole purpose create a useless noisy sub to piss of your neighbours, don't even sound very nice

might as well, buy a home cinema and enjoy the full experience of a cinema in your home and piss them off in the process

also a subwoofer is quite heavy (decent ones are from 10kg to 30kg), to mount on the ceiling is costly and difficult, more important looks so ugly

What the arsehole in me would do: affix a few speakers to the ceiling, pointing up, at 3am blast out a medley of your favourite tunes. Rinse and repeat each night.[/QUOTE]

I have a spare bass sub woofer you are more than welcome to collect from Causeway Bay and would be perfect for this job.

Nationality has nothing to do with this issue, leave that at the door.

You haev some fucked up locals, as much as you have soe indians, thai, french, brit, americans...

Now for your issue, I think the best, sadly, is to move on.

You have indeed pissed them off it seems
You have already contacted the police who did fuck nothing

Just see it as temporary issue (easier said than done) and try to focus your mind on other stuffs.
In the meantime, try to soundproof your flat as much as possible and try to be out when they are in and vice versa.

It sucks I know but I don't believe you can do much at this point.

    Good luck
