Australian Teacher Defaces Pro-Beijing Candidate's Banners

Rebecca Louise Nunan, a 32yo female Australian NET, was charged for unlawfully defacing 4 banners of Iris Cheung, a DAB candidate in district council election, outside a building in Sheung Wan on 4 Nov. Cheung runs for Tung Wah/Central & Western; the other candidate is Bonnie Ng. Nunan was spotted by passersby and the case was reported to Iris Cheung. Nuna's case was heard in Eastern Magistrates' Courts and she had no case to answer. As requested by the defense side, the magistrate adjourned the case to 17 Dec, pending the defense side's obtaining of legal advice. Nunan was allowed to be on a $1,000 cash bail.
