Things to do while on the MTR?

I love the efficiency of the MTR but spending so much time travelling I often wonder if I could make better use of that time.

    Read, movies, music, people watch..

What do you do while on the MTR and I'd love to hear of original ideas?

I like to inspect people's nails and bitch about body odour on Twitter.

I close my eyes and imagine what it would be like to drive through the Cross-harbor tunnel at about 6pm on a rainy day. Then I open my eyes and smile.

I would think a smile like this would be best

Might give a tad more breathing room from the great unwashed

I always carry a little tin of Menthalatum or Tiger Balm when I travel and put a little under my nose when needed . . . because personal hygiene standards vary GREATLY around the world (or even seat-to-seat on the MTR).

I play games or browse geo.
Before smartphones, I used to listen to podcasts of Mandarin (or Japanese, or French or German or wherever else I was going on holiday!) and try to learn the language - I think that was far more useful!

When it's really crowded I raise both hands up to avoid being accused of groping. If I get a seat I look around for any pregnant women or old folks to give it up to. When it's really hot outside I just sit in a/c comfort and check out all the pretty sun dresses - life is good until the big fat guy decides he really wants to squeeze into the seat beside me, at which point I feverously start looking for those pregnant women.

I mostly play retro video games ( snes, pc engine, megadrive, Gameboy advance, emulators, and ps1) on my psp, or modern games on ps vita, very enjoyable, time goes quick as I travel from fanling to sheung wan to work and back, but usually, I play games coming back as I sleep from shueng shui to hung hom as I get a nice seat and it's quiet with noise cancelling walkman
