    Question Notarization of document

I need to get a document which was issued in China notarized by a public notary for use in Hong Kong. Does anyone know how to go about this?

    Thanks

Yes. Type "public notary Hong Kong" into Google and trawl through the results until you find one close to you at a price point that is acceptable. Then ring them up, make an appointment, take your document along for them to notarise and pay the fee.

The instructions say that a notarial certificate needs to be obtained from the local notarial office, and that notarial certificate has to be passed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China for a certification that the signature and/or seal on the local notarial office are/is true.

Can a public hong kong notary do this?

It sounds like the kind of thing that is not rare meaning a Hong Kong notary probably knows the procedure. But the best way to find out is to ring them up and ask. If you google "public notary Hong Kong" you get a huge number of answers, sometimes legwork is required to find the best match for you problem!
