United States Parcel Service? I get their stuff delivered to my place with those white and green post office collection notices (Speedpost?).

I've never had their stuff delivered via courier. UPS I get via courier.

Tracking won't matter because once it leaves the US, then it is out of the USPS hands. When mailing from the USA, you need to wait roughly 10-14 days to get it. My sister mails me stuff through the USPS and that is usually the time frame for me.

USPS - United States Postal Service. Basically a government agency that has mail delivery agreements with other postal services (i.e. Hong Kong Post) for the delivery of mail.

UPS -- United Parcel Service, aka "Brown" for the color of their vehicles and uniforms. A private entity that delivers parcels around the world through their own service and partners.

fwiw I have never had a USPS item delivered by anyone other than the Hong Kong Post. Not sure what the last UPS thing was I ordered here but I think it was a local UPS delivery person (had a UPS barcode scanner thingy with them that I signed).

The same, the last USPS parcel we received (which farted around from city to city in the US for 15 days before they obviously realised Hong Kong wasn't in the US) was delivered by HK Post, 2 days after it finally left the US.

We regularly receive UPS/Fedex/DHL at an unmarked address no problems at all.
