It's only an insult when they say 'wah you are so fat'

Any other references to fat are just commenting on it, without an insult intended!

Some of the younger generations in hk also take insult to the 'you look fatter' statement as teens want to appear stick thin.

So now I commonly hear 'you look fatter and prettier'

It's really meant to be a compliment.
