Also, don't discount or write off Taobao if you are looking for some single items / unique stuff. Some interesting gadgets / clones of expensive stuff available.

Don't mind Taobao generally (although not into fakes), main issue is I find their website a real pain to navigate.

Just wondering, if shanghai street is a good place to buy crockery set and nice cutlery as well ? looking for 36 pcs sets that include few pieces of every items . TIA

I don't remember seeing much of those set deals in Shanghai Street. You can buy all the pieces individually though at some of the hotel suppliers.
