Malaysia/Indonesia. Sabah/Sarawak are the Malaysian part on the island of Borneo. It's half Malaysian and half Indonesian.

Everything in Borneo is really cheap. And the people are oh so friendly and willing to show you around. I had a guide take 2 of us on a 4 day jungle hike for US$160 per person ... including cooking our meals for us (well, he hunted them down, so he cooked them) and carrying most of our camping gear also.

Borneo is an island that is jointly owned by 3 countries, Indonesia Kalimantan, Malaysia Sabah & Sarawak and Brunei. Although the Philippines is also claiming sovereignty over Sabah and that claim is still in dispute with the Malaysian government. Originally Posted by nemrac:
