Differene between a cleaner and a helper?

I'm new to the concept of a 'helper' since moving to here but I'm well familiar with having a cleaner. What's are the differences ?

I'm looking for a professional who doesn't require fulltime employ, can clean for a 2-3 hours once a week and provide their own equipment.

is there a market of people like these?

I believe the standard (and illegal) approach is to borrow a friend/neighbour's live-in domestic helper....

There are other posts on here that indicate agencies do this too.. although many of the posts are highlighting the problems they have had with these!

I guess the difference would be that a cleaner does cleaning but a helper does many other things: cooking, looking after the kids, laundry, etc etc.

    You can call homesmart (www.homesmart.hk]
The maids bring their own cleaningstuff. If you buy a package it is probably cheaper.
I've never used this service but my friends did. They say it is ok, but the maids don't speak english. If you have special request you have to tell the staff so they can inform the maids
