    Need some documents Notarised

I need some document copies notarised as soon as possible. Is there anyone here that can do that or knows a good place to get it done?

First of all, what kind documents? Notarisation depends on many things. Nationality for passport photos, foreign documents, etc...

You will have to expand on your description of need. If it calls for documents to be notarised according to your nationality, then contact your country's embassy in HK. They can advise you further. Rules vary from from country to country. As an example, in Australia, we have a certified JP to notarise documents. So it is best to contact your home country's embassy.

Need some bank statements notarised. I've been told any notarius will do. JP will do as well because I'm dealing with Australians.

Contact the Australian embassy/ consulate in Wan Chai. You can google it. They will recommend a JP to notarise. Sorry cannot remember as I have only once been there, if only to vote ( sadly Tony Abbott was voted in by other ....) . But I have used the Australian consulate/embassy in other host countries for the same reason.

BTW if you are dealing with the Australian Embassy/ Consulate, take all identification documents relating as they are sooo anal with the correct ID. I never had this much problem in Germany ( and they have a reputation for this) as I have with Australian embassy here. Right down to renewing my passport. The ( Indian descent) lady who handled my change of name had no idea what " nee" meant as in my previous unmarried name....

If the embassy gives you too much hassle, then contact the Australian Chamber of Commerce for a JP. They are more likely to be helpful.

Yes, I heard I could get a JP through embassy. I decided to just find a private notarius to go straight to, to avoid all the embassy hassle.

Still looking for Notary recommendation. I've found one firm where they can notarise my document copies for $1000 per page. Is this a reasonable price for this service? Sounds very expensive.

Which Notary firm did you go to?

In HK, you can go to a Public Notary (service provided by gvt). Nearly free of charge and very quick, as long as you have made an appointment with one. No need to wait for weeks but necessary to book though.
    Enquire to gvt services offices
