Muslim Clock Kid wants 15 million USD

Well no surprise here, the 14 year old boy who took apart a clock radio, put it into a suitcase to make it look like a bomb and carried it into a school is now suing for 15 million USD.

Mohamed’s family moved to Qatar, because he was offered a chance to study at one of the county’s elite prep schools.

“Qatar is nice, but it is not Texas. That is their attitude toward this,” Mohamed’s lawyer kelly Hollingsworth told The Washington Post. “They are citizens of Irving, Texas, USA, first. Are they devout people devoted to their faith? Absolutely. But they are Texans, too, and they want to come home. What we are seeking is for them to be able to do that with their heads held high.”

“Ahmed has suffered severe psychological trauma during his involuntarily separation from his grandmother and extended family,” the letter says.

    What a load of BS...

The fact is that the kid was completely innocent as the clock was a science project and was promptly treated like a terrorist because of his skin color and name. He didn't make it look like anything dangerous, the case he put the clock in was like $5 USD and was the cheapest and easiest way he could house his little project. He was questioned and detained as a minor without his parents, which is a clear violation of his rights. Besides, if it were a real bomb threat, they bomb squad would've been called in and not the cops. It's clear that they have something against him, and I'm willing to bet that it's probably because of his race.

15 million USD is an exorbitant sum, but how can you put a price on having your rights violated, being accused of being a terrorist and being treated like a criminal all at the age of 14?

America is a litigious society, no doubt about that, however this sort of thing happens all the time and they'll probably settle out of court for less.

Please ask yourself what you would do if your child was smart enough to build his own clock, took it to school to show his teachers, and was arrested and accused of being a terrorist? As a parent, how would that make you feel? Wouldn't you want to sue someone? Wouldn't you want justice for your kid? Wouldn't you want to send a clear message to the school and others that this is not acceptable to put a child through that? 15 million is a ridiculous sum and they probably know they will get no where near that, but it is a large enough number to grab headlines and give it national attention, which is what I suspect they wanted.

It was not a science project at all! The kid took apart a cheap alarm clock and shoved it into a suitcase...an act anyone could do in a matter of minutes. It is not something anyone built or invented, it is a total hoax.

Then the kid took the suspicious looking thing to school and was asked several times to put it away and he kept going room to room with it despite being asked to put the stupid thing away. This is classic PC nonsense gone wild with media...

This kid didn't build, construct or invent anything. See the video I posted. He took apart and alarm clock you could buy at Walmart and stuff it into a briefcase. He was probably looking for attention, and he got it.

In normal societies, it's called an apology. Thats how normal societies treat cockups.

In normal societies, you don't call the police and you don't arrest a kid and you don't interrogate a kid without his parents when there is clearly no danger and no crime.

When clearly a detention was called for but the school administrators decided to bring in the big guns, when it was clear there was no threat and the big guns decided to arrest the kid anyway (against their own published guidelines), you need to send a message and messages are far more effective when they contain dollar signs.
