    I just flew in from -12C, sitting here in shorts and t-shirt with window open in Tsing Yi.

    Well if one wants to be technical, HK's climate is actually subtropical rather than tropical. Sure, in terms of latitude, HK is just within the tropics, being slightly below the Tropic of Cancer. But in terms of climate, HK is subtropical.

    Yea the locals at my work are already rugged up and querying why I haven't got my puffer jacket out .
    The scramble to get overdressed in this lovely weather is just one of those things I never can get my head around

    I'm wearing fleece already and I'm not a local. I just dislike cold weather.

    They need an excuse to get their winter clothes out. Too much of a waste if they don't grab an opportunity to wear it.
