Need help with FDH contract renew...

so my DH contract is ending soon and we are trying to review the contract without having to go through the agency again. we filled out the green employment contract already. she is going to submit to PH consulate tomorrow to get it stamped/approved or something. then after that's done, she will submit HK application for employment of domestic helper from abroad to immigration. does this sound normal? first time doing this. already updated the contract with new salary and food allowance etc. there is one part that's asking for proof of monthly household income. what can we use as proof? is this even mandatory?

also, she wants to go back to visit home after a couple of weeks into the new contact, but not immediately after the current contract is over. is that allowed?

we will also ask her to do new medical exam and get new insurance. anything we forgot? thanks a bunch.

Yeah it's allowed, there's a place on the new form saying whether she's going to go back at end of current contract or whether this will be delayed, and if it's delayed you have to write down a reason.

I can't remember if she'll have to still pop out of HK for a quick visa renewal though (i.e. Macau). Off memory I think that it is not necessary but you should check.

Can't answer the rest right now, too big a block text for this early

Off memory the proof of income is only required for the initial hire, it's not required for renewals. I think it even says this on the form?

Also I don't think that a medical exam is required for a renewal (in fact, don't even think it's technically required for the initial hire). Most the stuff tested is not stuff you'd really regard as high risk for somone who's already been living with you for two years- STDs, pregnancy are the two that I remember. It's geared towards soothing the raging paranoia of employers rather than checking whether she's healthy. If you're going to pay for testing it might be better to get a general health check done instead.

Renewing is fairly easy process. Philippine Consulate takes a week. You can actually do the immigration part online.
