Wedding reception in HK - January

    Hi,

I'm looking for a relaxed reception venue for January for around 20-30 people. I don't want one of the big hotels, somewhere relaxed (maybe outdoor space) with good food and atmosphere.

Any thoughts on venues would be great and any other advice for a bride-to-be on getting married here would be much appreciated.

    Thanks.

I love the location of rooftop at fringe though it'd required quite a bit of decoration. I'm also looking for a venue for myself for about 30-40 people, preferably with a city/ building (unique HK) view. I read about Sevva on top of prince's building in central. Does anyone know if there's another option? I'm open to the Kowloon side, esp. TST. Thanks

I would definitely recommend our location but as it's in Clearwater Bay it doesn't really fit your requirement...

For HK side, probably Red / G Bar / any of those bars on the rooftop of the IFC, if you're after something with a postcard harbour view and within a building. As for Kowloon, this Italian restaurant called Spasso on the terrace of Harbour City has also got an open harbour view. I don't really rate their food though...

Diverting the thread slightly, but how was the food at one-thirtyone? Worth the trip (by road I suspect...)

Diverting the thread some more, I paid over $3,000 for set dinner for two (check their website for a not very updated menu) and a bottle of champers. Food was good but not amazing - what you'll remember about this place is the beautiful and ultra private setting (think they've got a private pier where you can stroll out onto - great for wedding pics!), and the incredible service as they only have 3 tables (not counting the outdoor ones in their large garden) but have got 3+ waiters, so it's like having a team of butlers serving you all night (some might find it intrusive though).

All in all, the perfect place for a very special occasion, or, er, to take a mistress to!
