Nope. not a one. When I moved here there was a B&Q (a UK brand) which closed down within a year of my arrival. If you want DIY stuff, you have to visit the rows of shops in Mongkok or between Wan Chai and Causeway Bay (just go walking around those areas and you will figure it out). Ideally have a list of what you want in Cantonese or pictures - it's not a browsing activity, more of a you ask and they fetch kind of thing. It works. Eventually.

Or go to shenzhen. They have various large stores I think.

I know this is an utterly ridiculous suggestion, but that's not going to stop me. If you like this kind of thing, try to get transferred to Japan. Tokyu Hands is brilliant!

Sham Shui Po on Ap Liu St and surrounding streets has a bunch of shops selling diy stuff but nothing like Home Depot.

At least you admit it is utterly ridiculous...

The guy just wants to buy a good drill. I don't think that sort of purchase warrants moving countries!

I want to buy A0 size papers. I have visited many stationery stores in different areas but none of them sells A0 size. Know any good store? I cannot understand why it is so difficult to find large papers in HK.

It's called Apliu Street in Sham Shui Po.

If you can't make it that far, various Pricerite and Japan Home branches carry different DIY type supplies. Some of the larger Pricerite branches carry drills, different types of hammers and saws. Ikea also has some DIY hammers and drills and stuff which look more like they were meant to be sold at Toys R' Us, all colorful and flimsy but they are cheap and seem to do what they are meant to do.

no chains like Home Depot here, but you want to find "5 gold"/五金 (mm gum) shops here. They sell everything from raw materials like planks and PVC pipes to handsaws and hammers. Good luck!
