then give it a try to find some here in HK
There are 1-2 threads about stamp collecting in HK,
there is a building full of vendors, near Mongkok,
in the thread you will find descriptions how to get to that place.
Or check out what HK Post sells
I went to post office and they don't sell US stamps
I will search for the thread thanks
I just checked sumting for you and have good news.
The U.S. stamps of 1861, and all issued since then, continue to be valid on mail.

I have some US stamps somewhere at home, how much do you need?
@jimbo I want to try and avoid that
I went to GPO and found this
Hongkong Post Stamps - Mainland & Overseas Stamps - Latest Sales Programmes - Sale of Overseas Philatelic Products on 22 September 2016
the one at the bottom. However, the staff was not sure if these can be actually used in the US. She said they might be only for collection, can that be the case? the stamps did not have the denomination written on them too
also my post would need around 12us$ postage and these stamps were 2.4$ each so I would have to paste 20 stamps on the letter, would'n tit look odd?
thanks!
There are no stamps for collectors but not for use.
See post 17
The trucks are 47 cents stamps
