HKO have the red rainstorm warning up now. At this rate I might have to get the inflatable canoe out to get the gin supplies, fast flowing mini-river downstairs now.

Where in HK do you live? All calm at the moment on South Lantau. Think I will park our car outside tonight for its monthly hose off. Expecting an influx of surfers at the beach to catch the waves!

We're due to fly back Saturday, on a plane that should depart HKG at 8am and turn around here to fly back the same day. Think we might be delayed a bit then..

Top of TKO. We suffer from being right up against the hill. Small stream flowing down the steep hillside and running along 2 m behind our small row of houses turns into a covered stormwater drain that can never cope in a rainstorm. It just overflows around the houses. We also have a huge stormwater drain in front, but some idiot put a foot high concrete lip along the entire row in front, so of course the water can only exit via the small gate. Muppets.

Black rainstorm means stay where you are! Don't go anywhere.

Little bit of trivia.....does anyone remember Megi, six years ago and almost to the day! We were saved due to a weakening sub-tropical ridge but this time the ridge seems intact, which will prevent the northerly track occurring as early as it did during Megi.
