I miss Cholula hot sauce and good Avocados! It's either too expensive or difficult to find here in Hong Kong. Would love to hear from others!

Good avocados can be found in wet or outdoor markets. I don't know what the supermarkets do to them exactly, but they are always hard, green and never turn ripe there, and I think the wet/outdoor market atmosphere gives a better warmer temperature to get them ripe.
I haven't had a dud avocado yet, from M&S. And they keep well
Mainly good quality / reasonably priced veg such as artichokes (esp the globe variety), kale, swiss chard, collard greens as well as produce that tends to be a bit more local / seasonal such as wild foraged mushrooms, ramps, garlic scapes, fiddle head ferns, nasturtium, purslane, etc.
Found everything here apart from Vimto and kaymak.
Dairy products such as milk, simple bread and cheese variety. These are all available of course but relatively expensive compared to Tesco and Sainsbury's back in the UK. Artificial Sweeteners are also very expensive here, I used to pick up a little plastic carton with 100 tablets for just 99p in Sainsbury's.
Damn it, now I want a Cornish pasty, a steak and kidney pie, fish and chips, mushy peas.... Right I'm going to go to the wet market to buy some fish and potatoes...will try to make fish and chips for dinner tonight.
wow i've never heard of the last half of these veggies but i'm very intrigued.
personally, i miss really good cheeses that don't cost half my paycheck!
Decent cheese, artichokes and olives, all can be got in bulk from wholesalers who will deal with non-business customers. Gotta learn where to buy them and buy in advance (and have some storage space). Along with that and iHerb you can live almost free from Fusion and Wellcome!
