Any Stamp Collectors in town ?

Just wondering if there is a Stamp Collector's Club in HK ?
I used to meet up with Stanley Gibbons people ...but in HK they are dealing mainly with high value stuff.
Happy to hear from any Philatelist !

I know a couple of stamp collectors - my colleague Richard (who I'm assuming isn't you) collects particularly British Empire stamps, and very randomly, a newish doorman in my building is a philatelist who asked me to keep any stamps from abroad for him.
(from another Richard in Sheung Wan)

What kind of stamps do you collect ?

There is a club, but I forgot why I did not join, I think they mainly collect HK and Empire stamps.

I live in Wing Lok St Sheung Wan and my mobile is 95851562
Text me with any contact details.
My main interest is Commonwealth QE II, but I have two interesting albums from my grandfather c.1900 ! where each stamp had it's own illustrated space..

There was a stamp exhibition put on recently in the Sheung Wan Municipal Building - Stampex 2017. Run by HK Philatelic Society.

There is a Philatelic society in HK. They meet once a month in Jardine House in Central. Although most of the people who attend are from HK there are one or two expats as well. At the meetings English is spoken. Most of the time the meetings focus on HK or Chinese stamps and there are some very knowledgeable members on this subject. I am in the UK at present but when I spend time in HK I attend their meetings. It's all pretty relaxed. You can find more info from their website The Hong Kong Philatelic Society – Founded 1921.

    wow thank you very much!
I clearly did not research it enough
I used to go to Stanley Gibbons functions here
but they seem to have stopped
    and I know N C Yang' s son
the father was famous here as he wrote the hk stamp catalogue and had every single hk stamp
but as you say my findings are that 99% of the interest here is with hk and China stamps
I am more interested in GB and the commonwealth
    thanks again

The local Stanley Gibbons subsidiary went insolvent leaving lots of HK purchasers of their stamps, holding the baby, or at least stuck with many stamps priced way above market - where they can be found (many stamps from their Guernsey storage were missing). No claims against the parent company. Shame on them.
