I'm going through a salad phase and trying to identify the best salad bars in town. Any suggestions? The major buffets are an obvious choice , but I don't want to be paying for lobster, oysters, roast meats, because literally all I want to eat is salad.

There is a new salad bar opening in IFC soon - called Dressed I think... other than that, perhaps you could try Life Cafe in Soho, or Mix?

UCC Coffee has a basic but decent salad bar. I think it costs $10 or $20 more on top of your meal.
The food court at the Three-Sixty supermarket in Central also has a great salad bar. You choose your greens, proteins, toppings and dressing. Generous portions.
Then there is always Pret.

MacDonalds has a nice, fresh salad with or without chicken.
